"ROUND"
Group Summer Exhibit at the George Billis Gallery 511 West 25 Street - ground floor New York, NY 10001 July 21 - August 15, 2003
For this exhibit, 4 of my pieces were on view. Three are superimposed in the above photo of the George Billis Gallery on 25th Street. (The gallery is in the taller white building which is in the heart of Chelsea). The painting "Pond", shown at left is a detail of an oil painting on copper mounted into a ceramic frame which is large and oval shaped. Because the piece is large, I cropped the photo into a square format to fit onto this page. The two circular works are actually the same size. Their paintings of leaves are on copper and brass. All 3 oil paintings on metal were painted while I was in Paris for my Tritons exhibit (see "Tritons bleus-vermeils" in the past exhibits section). I packed the small paintings into my luggage, and on return to the States, mounted them into their respective ceramic frames which I had made prior to leaving for France, and shipped them right off to NY. The reception was held on Thursday, July 24 from 6 - 8 pm. To return to the past exhibits page, click on the box below |
