"a sculpted village, a silent language, the paintings around them"
Dec 1999 to Feb 2000 at Barnsdall Art Center, Los Angeles, Calif.
This was my first solo exhibit. The curator had visited my work space and assembled those pieces she felt best fit into a theme. She took items from my clay city (Venticello), the language I had invented (Tapissary), and paintings I had done. Being brought together, they portrayed a "culture". This was the first time I had seen a composition based on my various 'hobbies'. Show cased behind glass windows, and housed within Frank Lloyd Wright's architecture, it was a memorable experience.
